Learning to Learn @ Uni In-Person

University study, whether undergraduate or graduate, involves navigating a unique culture with its own rules and norms. If you find studying more challenging than expected, remember that it's like learning a new language—it's difficult! Even if English is your first language, mastering academic English, critical thinking, and the independent and group learning styles at university is like exploring a new territory. Just as no one would climb Mt. Everest without proper gear, academic literacy skills are essential for the climb. But it's also crucial to prepare your 'inner world'—the confidence, self-efficacy, and grit needed for the journey. This workshop offers an opportunity to reflect on the tools you have, identify those you may need, and build the confidence necessary to reach the summit.
