Exhibition: Time and Emotion In-Person

This exhibition showcases artworks by Allyda Nithasha, a postgraduate International student at Western Sydney University. Allyda is a visual artist studying a Master's in Art Therapy.

Allyda’s art practice is primarily as a digital artist but incorporates mixed media, graphite and acrylics, moving between flowing textural works, intricate sketches and bold expressionist pieces.


This exhibition highlights a selection of recent works which blend graphite drawings, watercolour and acrylics with an emphasis on curving linear forms, portraiture, text and impasto techniques. Musings on the human condition, solitude and the recurring motif of human features (eyes, hands, hearts) divided, delineated or compartmentalised in contrast with emotionally redolent everyday objects and keepsakes creates a body of work that invites the viewer to consider their own relation to time, identity and materiality.

This exhibition runs from 13th January – 14th March, 2025 in the Penrith Campus Library Gallery Space. Admission is free.
