Is Sustainable Use of Generative AI Possible? Student Perspectives on Generative AI and Climate Change

Is Sustainable Use of Generative AI Possible? Student Perspectives on Generative AI and Climate Change Online

Join us for Western Sydney University’s annual student perspectives on generative AI webinar.

This year our panellists explore the questions: Is sustainable use of generative AI possible? Do generative AI technologies exacerbate or mitigate climate change?

This is the follow-up to our well-attended and positively received webinars:

From Theory to Practice - Student Perspectives on Researching and Using Artificial Intelligence.

Grading the Graders: Global Student Perspectives on How Universities Have Reacted to Generative AI

We acknowledge the support of the Western Sydney Centre for Artificial Intelligence (WSCAI) in SoCDMS (School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences).

Arthur Gambo, Professor Bernard Riera and Professor Eunika Mercier-Laurent’s visit to Western Sydney University is funded by a successful joint grant between WSCAI and Université de Reims-Champagne-Ardenne funded by the Franco-Australian PHC FASIC grant scheme for the project entitled "Bridging AI Sustainably across Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0."
