MESH LANTITE Numeracy Practice Workshop (Bankstown)

The Mathematics Education Support Hub (MESH) is offering three workshops in June/July to help you to prepare for the numeracy component of LANTITE. The three workshops are all different, so attend as many as you can.

Workshop 1: LANTITE numeracy preparation on Tuesday 30 June 10am – 11.30am via Zoom (https://uws.zoom.us/j/83903099765?pwd=SaUffC2bTkyckl6OW7N3qGWRjeCwRV.1)

Learn about the LANTITE numeracy test, test-taking strategies, and tips and tricks to help you prepare. Try some online practice questions, see the worked solutions, and gain access to MESH LANTITE preparation resources.

Workshop 2: Dealing with Maths Anxiety on Tuesday 30 June 11:30am – 12:30pm via Zoom (https://uws.zoom.us/j/83903099765?pwd=SaUffC2bTkyckl6OW7N3qGWRjeCwRV.1)

This workshop follows directly after Workshop 1. Maths Anxiety is a feeling of tension and anxiety that interferes with your ability to do maths. It can range from a feeling of mild tension all the way to experiencing a strong fear of maths. It is very common. The good news is that you can do something about it.

This workshop will discuss maths anxiety, how to identify it, and what to do about it. It will be presented in a way that will be welcoming and non-threatening.

Workshop 3a: LANTITE Numeracy Practice on Monday 6 July 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Bankstown City BK-1.2.08     and/or

Workshop 3b: LANTITE Numeracy Practice on Tuesday 7 July 10:00 am – 12:00 pm Kingswood KW-P.1.49

Prepare for LANTITE by practising your numeracy skills. You will be working with other students on various worksheets, with MESH tutors available to assist. Come with friends or make some new friends. You can come to both 3a and 3b as there are plenty of different worksheets.

Workshops 1 and 3 include a pre-workshop component which must be completed prior to the workshop. Please register before 9am Thursday 25 June, so that you have time to complete the preparation materials, and so that we can allocate sufficient staff. Please read the FAQ file below before registering.
