Assignment Checks: Have You Overused Generative AI? In-Person

Location: Bankstown Library

Worried you’ve leaned too much on AI for your assignment? Visit the library for a practical drop-in session where librarians show you how to review whether your assignment aligns with your unit’s academic integrity expectations. Students can ask questions, and get guidance on how to rebalance their own voice, improve citation practice, and use AI tools more responsibly.

What to expect:
A workshop dedicated to helping students develop the skills of how to spot signs of AI overuse and make appropriate revisions.

Learning objectives:
Recognise indicators that an assignment may rely too heavily on generative AI.

Understand Western's academic integrity principles in plain language.

Learn strategies to appropriately integrate, acknowledge, and refine AI-assisted work.

Build confidence in expressing ideas in your own words and academic voice.
