Evaluating Information from Generative AI Tools In-Person
Location: Parramatta South Library
Curious about how reliable information from generative AI tools really is?
Join this interactive workshop to learn how to critically evaluate AI-generated content for your university studies. You’ll explore how tools like generative AI produce information where errors and bias can occur, and how to decide when (and when not) to use AI outputs in academic work.
What to Expect:
Participate in guided activities and short demonstrations that unpack how generative AI tools generate responses. You’ll practise checking accuracy, identifying bias and gaps, and cross-verifying AI-generated information using credible academic sources. Library staff will share practical strategies and answer your questions throughout the session.
Learning Objectives:
Identify common limitations, bias, and risks in AI-generated content.
Apply strategies to verify AI outputs using credible academic sources.
Build confidence in using generative AI critically and appropriately in your studies.
