Getting the most out of Engineering Village Database Online
Join with Susan Watson (Customer Consultant for Engineering) as she demonstrates how to get the most out of the Engineering Village database.
Presentation Overview:
- Describe the scope and content of Compendex within the Engineering Village platform, including its relevance to engineering research
- Create and manage a personal Engineering Village account to save searches, set up alerts, and organize research materials
- Utilize the built-in thesaurus to identify and apply indexed terms for more precise search results
- Construct effective search strategies using Boolean operators, filters (e.g., physical properties, classification codes, ICS codes), autostemming, and treatment options
- Locate full-text resources and export citations to reference management tools such as EndNote for streamlined research workflows
