Spoken Word Poetry (Produce Workshop)

Spoken Word Poetry (Produce Workshop) In-Person

Western Sydney University Library is teaming up with Bankstown Poetry Slam to bring to you two fantastic Spoken word poetry workshops.

About our co-hosts: Bankstown Poetry Slam (BPS) is the largest regular poetry slam in the Australia. Heralding in hundreds of people each month, BPS has featured renowned local and international artists including Kid Laroi, Rupi Kaur, Rudy Francisco, Safia Elhillo, Raymond Antrobus, Nate Marshall, Luka Lesson, Omar Musa and dozens more.

In this Spoken Word Poetry "Produce"  workshop, run by Bilal Hafda, students will learn how to craft a piece of spoken word poetry together. Whether you are a newbie to spoken word poetry interested in learning a new artform, or a poet experimenting with delivery of your piece, this workshop is for you.

Register now! Spots are limited!

There will be a follow-on Spoken word poetry "Polish and Practice" workshop (Check out here) where students can perfect their piece of poetry and then an opportunity to perform at the regular Bankstown Poetry Slam event held at Bankstown City Campus Auditorium.
