Advanced searching skills using OVID Online

Join Allan Finn (Senior Training Manager – OVID Technologies) as he demonstrates how to use OVID effectively for high-level reviews.

In this presentation and database demonstration, Allan we will cover:

  • Setting up a gold standard search in Ovid – Gold standard search includes a Keyword search across Title and Abstract fields, combined with a subject heading search
  • Demonstration of the Ovid Search Builder tool
  • Using correct syntax in a search
  • Demonstrate how to map appropriately to MESH and EMTREE terms
